Privacy Policy

This policy explains what Denver Residents Directory receives, why it is used, and the choices available to a visitor. Collection is limited because the service is a reference to Denver and Colorado public-record routes, not a record repository. No account is required here, and this site does not maintain a resident profile for you.

Information You Submit

A name, phone number, or address entered into a search form is sent to the third-party provider that supplies those results. Denver Residents Directory does not keep a copy of those searches on its own servers. If you send a message, the information in that message is visible to the operator and is used to answer it.

Routine Technical Logs

Hosting systems normally record an IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and time stamps. These logs may be reviewed in aggregate to maintain the service and understand which references are useful. Basic analytics or advertising measurement may use cookies or similar tools when enabled.

How the Data Is Used

Technical data supports site operation, fault repair, traffic counts, and page improvement. Visitor lists are not sold, and individual user profiles are not built from this reference.

External Portals and Tools

Pages link to Denver and Colorado record portals, library collections, archives, and sponsored search tools. Each outside service has its own privacy terms. Those terms control information submitted after a visitor leaves this reference, including information entered into a sponsored result box.

Who May Receive It

Hosting and support vendors may process ordinary server logs. Analytics or advertising partners may receive the technical data described above where those services are active. Information may also be disclosed when a valid legal process requires it.

Security and Retention

The connection is encrypted, and logs are retained only for the operational purposes described here. Because the service has no account system, it does not hold a site password or resident profile that can be exposed.

Visitors Under 18

The reference is intended for adults and is not directed to children. Personal information from a person under 18 is not knowingly collected. If a minor has sent information, use the Contact page so it can be reviewed and deleted where appropriate.

Your Colorado Privacy Choices

Where it applies, the Colorado Privacy Act, C.R.S. §§6-1-1301 through 6-1-1313, gives rights to access, correct, delete, and opt out of certain processing. Because this reference retains little personal data, a request normally means checking the contact mailbox and applicable server logs. Use the Contact page to ask. Public records held by Denver or Colorado offices remain under the control of their custodians, not this reference. The Colorado Open Records Act, C.R.S. §§24-72-200.1 through 24-72-205, governs access requests to public custodians and does not erase a record that another statute makes confidential.

Policy Changes

A revised policy will be posted here. Continued use after the revision date indicates acceptance of the updated terms.
